      Hi John,

In a nutshell, our goal is to provide direct, easy access to knowledge and experience to sailors who otherwise may not have access to it.

So if a client is looking to move from dinghy sailing on inland lakes to costal cruising, we will help them think through their wants and needs and find a boat that will be a good fit. We also help clients figure out how to break into the sailing world if they haven’t started yet, deciding whether to start by purchasing a boat, taking formal lessons, or getting in touch with a local club or organization to find a ride.

If someone has heard about a project boat that looks like a great deal, we can help them plan out what that restoration might look like and make an informed decision about whether they have the ability and desire to see it through to the end, or if they might be better served by a different boat. Similarly, if someone is anticipating a major project (replacing standing rigging, re-coring a soggy deck, refinishing the bottom, etc.) we can help them plan for that and avoid common mistakes.

Essentially, if you have a question about sailing or sailboats, we will help you answer it. I hope this answers your question, but if you do want to know more, feel free to email us from the Contact Us page here on the website.

      -Brad
